Xbox 360 Review - A very long time ago, I used to play Alien Vs Predator 2 on my old PC. This is one of the most scary game since Silent Hill
and Resident Evil
. It is so enjoyable that I felt really immerse of either becoming the survival marine, the hunter Predator and the stealthy Aliens. But that was a long time ago. Now the guys who created that game is back, Rebellion and recreate the new game into the next generation console. And the result?
The result was a disappointment. The game look like it was rushed and was not properly and carefully designed. I was hoping that it would beat Doom 3, Call of Duty, Halo 3 or Half Life 2 but it turn out to be just a blunt FPS video game. I have only played a few level on the Marine side and I have not yet played the other two sides - Alien and Predator. And to be honest, I have played a lot of FPS and this one is not into my liking. The control mechanic is a bit hard to control, the AI is sometimes a bit stupid and the environment will make you puke. Even in a game such as in Doom 3, the lighting are more better and give that chilling atmosphere. But in AVP, it is always dark and very hard to shoot.
And the annoying part is that it tries to be like other FPS shooter. I know that the original Alien Vs Predator is using the Half Life engine but the game itself does not try to be Half-Life itself. In other words, its is original to its core. But this new game felt like a direct imitation of Doom 3 with the Alien Vs Predator label slap into it. So who cares? I do.
I love the Aliens and Predators movie (excluding the stupid movie of Alien Vs Predator). Wish they would reboot the movie into a more futuristic movie, just like Alien 3. And this storyline in this video game is also weak, just like the movie itself. Wish they would hire the guy who create the script for Doom 3 (kudos to you Id). What the hell? That is the word I said when I first watch the introduction movie. So this story is the same like the movie itself but implement the more future space colony theme. I still love story in Alien Vs Predator 2 video game. It shows a dark side of a human being. But this new video game storyline is rather ridiculous. Wish they would just reboot the old game just like in the Chronicles of Riddick.
Conclusion - There are a lot of good FPS out there such as Halo 3, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Bioshock 2
. Or you can wait and save your money for Halo: Reach
and Battlefied: Bad Company 2 (will buy this game soon). But if you are a fan of the original Alien Vs Predator video game, you might want to think again in buying this game or you can just rent it. It is not bad but it is just not good enough.

on the PC, the late 90's were filled with exciting FPS video game. Title such as 
2 and Star Wars Jedi Knight was installed on every Pentium PC during that day. It also gives way for video card maker to develop high resolution, high textured and anti-aliasing capability to bring depth to the whole gaming experience. But nothing could be better when Alien vs Predator were joining those ranks of FPS shooter. This game were praised and were given a good highlight during that time. And this game was created by those guy who created the new game based on the same title on the Xbox360, PlayStation 3 and PC - Rebellion. It also spawn it successor, Alien vs Predator 2 and its sequel, Primal Hunt but was developed by different studios.

2 was my most favorite game of all time. But all those video games were a hit on the PC but never for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Then came Alien vs Predator: Extinction. At first, I thought this game would be another FPS game but to my surprised, it was a RTS video game instead. And I am a real fan of RTS genre.
